Multi-read content how to use self leveling laser

With a point laser level, you can position the ceiling housing and light fixture positions on the floor where they can be easily measured, then use the laser to send them up to the ceiling. This technique is particularly useful for vaulted or sloped ceilings, where the positioning of light fixtures would require a plumb line.

Start by marking the floor lamp fixings with masking tape. Then raise the laser and align the beam down with the center of the device. Now you can mark where the up beam hits the ceiling.

A rotary laser level is a tool that shoots a laser beam of light 360 degrees around a room. I use the level laser beam to establish my grades when I prep for a concrete floor pour.

The laser level is a fast and accurate way for one person to check, establish, and mark grades for all kinds of concrete work. If you’ve never used a laser level, this video will give you a good introduction as how to use one.

This video will show you how to set up and use a self-leveling laser to check sub-grade level and set your floor grades.

I like to use the Topcon RL-H5B self leveling laser for all my jobs.

It’s really easy to learn how to use and set up.

I use a self leveling laser, receiver, and grade stick to see how level the sub-grade is so I can set my top of concrete floor grades accordingly.

Most of my concrete floors are an average of 4″ higher than the sub-grade.

The easiest and fastest way to check the levelness of your sub-grade is using a grade stick with some kind or ruler on it.

Once your laser is level, it spins a 360 degree laser beam that the receiver picks up. This allows you to use the level laser beam to check and set grades easily.
