How do you clean grease off appliances?

Use an all-purpose cleaner, ammonia, vinegar, or other non-abrasive cleaning solutions to clean grease from your cookware.

If you have time, spray the affected area and wait a few minutes for the cleaner to break down the grease stain.

This technique makes multitasking easier. Spray your devices with cleaner then start doing something else for a few minutes.

When you’re done, all you have to do is erase everything. You won’t have to spend time and energy ferociously scrubbing and risking damage to your equipment.

We recommend using a microfiber cloth instead of a paper towel. You don’t want paper residue on your devices. Don’t forget to clean the inside.

How do you clean a sticky microwave?

For the exterior of the microwave, any solution that combines water and ammonia or vinegar will effectively clean your microwave. See “Cleaning Solutions” below for specific water to cleaning ratios.

For the inside of the microwave, fill a bowl with water and add three to four tablespoons of vinegar. Place the bowl in the microwave and operate for 2-3 minutes so that the vinegar solution boils, softening the hard fat.

After preheating the oven, wipe the inside of the microwave with a damp cloth. Finally, dry well.

Cleaning the microwave with vinegar or ammonia will also effectively neutralize cooking odors. Read on – we’ll talk about how to get rid of those bad kitchen smells below.

How to melt cooking fat?

For grease on small non-electrical appliances, soaking is a great option. First, fill the sink with warm water and dish soap. Then, soak your appliances in the sink for a few minutes. The device may require additional soaking time depending on the hardness of the grease or stains.

If you need to remove grease from the surface of your appliance, try applying liquid dish soap directly to the area you’re cleaning and let it sit for a while.

If that still isn’t enough even after soaking, try one of the cleaning solutions listed below.

Effective household cleaners

To make these household cleaners, all you need is a measuring cup, water, and ammonia, vinegar, or baking soda.

Ammonia and water:1 tablespoon per cup of water

Water and Vinegar:0.5 tablespoon per cup of water for stains and easy-to-clean surfaces; 2 tablespoons per cup to dissolve stubborn grease stains, clean your floors, or perform other similar cleaning tasks.

Baking Soda and Vinegar:Sprinkle baking soda on your device or surface, then spray vinegar on that area. Now take a sponge and scrub the surface to get rid of your stubborn stains.

You can also make a paste that combines three parts baking soda with one part water, which will help keep your device cleaner.

First, spread the paste over the area of interest. Wait for it to dry so the baking soda has time to break down the baked food. Then spray some vinegar and the solution will start to come out; Now watch it break down fat right before your eyes.

How to deodorize the microwave

Baking soda

Baking soda is an extremely effective deodorant. Simply sprinkle the mixture inside the microwave, let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe the microwave clean with a damp cloth.

You can also place a bowl of water mixed with two tablespoons of baking soda in the microwave and let it run for about three minutes. Baking soda will completely neutralize microwave odors while breaking down dirt.

This strategy not only works with microwaves, but also on carpets, tiles, and kitchen appliances.

Boil vinegar and water

Simply place a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl with two tablespoons of white vinegar and a few cups of water in your microwave. Then microwave on high for 2-3 minutes to deodorize. It will also soften aged grease and baked goods.

Carefully remove the bowl (it will still be hot) and wipe the inside of the microwave with a clean cloth. Don’t forget to clean the microwave door.

The vinegar can be a bit strong and steam will escape into the kitchen, so when you open the door don’t get too close.

Boil lemon juice and water

This method works if you don’t have vinegar or baking soda with you. Mix two tablespoons of lemon juice in a cup of water, place in a medium microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for two to three minutes. Then put the mixture in the microwave for 5-10 minutes.

Wipe down the microwave interior and door and you’re done. Any unpleasant odors in your microwave will be replaced with a pleasant, clean lemon smell.

Microwaves are quick and easy to use, but unfortunately they don’t yet clean themselves.

Step 1:

Use the clean, damp sponge to remove any crumbs or recent spills from the microwave.

Tip

You can help keep your microwave clean by wiping up any spills the minute they happen with soapy water and a clean cloth or sponge.

Step 2:

Fill the microwavable bowl with two cups of water and place in the center of the oven.

Step 3:

Heat the water in the oven for three minutes, or until it boils and produces steam.

Tip

If your microwave stinks, add half a cup of lemon juice to the water before boiling.

Step 4:

Let the water cool and the steam loosen food particles for five minutes, then carefully remove the bowl.

Step 5:

If your oven has a tray, remove it, wash it in soapy water, and set it aside to dry.

Step 6:

Use a damp cloth to wipe the inside of your oven.

Step 7:

Place the tray back in your oven.

Step 8:

Spray the outside of your oven with the all-purpose kitchen spray and wipe it clean with the other damp cloth. Now you can go back to letting the oven do all the work for a while.
