Safely remove lead from Pencil using WATER.

I used water to remove lead from this pencil.

I found that existing method of cutting and burning wood are not very safe.

I decided to use water instead.

Use sharpener to remove some wood from both ends. Immerse pencil in water for 1 day.

Press the pencil slightly with plier.

U can see the gap between the two halves. I will pull both ends apart.

Pressing the half like this will allow you to remove the led easily.

This approach is possible due to two factors.

One wood expands when it comes in contact with water.

Two . Pencil is made with two halves of wood glued together with graphite rod in between.

Do try this at home.
