The steps to get rid of the bidet in your home are:

  • Remove the bidet from the floor.
  • Bidet base demo
  • Fix the bathroom floor

Removing the bidet from the floor in the bathroom requires a lot of tools and time. It will also render the bathroom unusable for several hours. If you’re new to it, there’s no shame in hiring a professional, but it can be expensive. Get ready for alonganddetailed work.

Head up! Read on and find out what it takes to remove the bidet from your bathroom.

Remove the bidet from the floor

Auctions come in different configurations, but the most common, standalone bidet, willemploy the most labor. They are usually connected to the wall and the floor, just like a regular toilet. They usually sit next to each other and occupy the same space.

Having a good set of wrenches and sockets will be important for this step.

The steps to remove the bidet from the floor are as follows:

Bidet demo base

The steps to be demonstrated in the bidet base are:

  • Start a crack in the base
  • – Whatever type of tool you use to destroy the root, you must start by attacking it at a steep angle. As you work, the hammers and chisels direct the vibrations of the hammer into the rock, causing cracks and microcracks to appear. Choose a large one and separate it from the base.
  • Work around the piece of rock
  • – The large rock that is at the base of the toilet sink will need various cracks to remove most of it. Go around the concrete and systematically hammer the pieces until they are all removed from the ground, leaving only a thin layer of adhesive underneath.
  • Remove the adhesive on the sole
  • – Under the base, between the stone and the floor, there will be a layer of load-bearing glue which will keep the substrate firmly attached to the floor. Use a scraper to remove any glue that won’t come off when you hammer and chisel the base. This may require additional heat or solvents if things are sticky.
  • Cleans the floor
  • – Before proceeding to the next step, the floor and floor coverings must be clean. Any mold or dirt should be removed with a deep cleaner. If the bidet has been in place for many years, it may have created some serious ground level. Dust and mildew can get into the smallest cracks, be prepared to clean them.

Fix the bathroom floor

Now that the floor is free of heavy debris or holes, you should focus on refinishing the floor with the rest. Remove adhesives that may peel tiles or reveal rotting wood chips on the floor. Take your time and repair the hole as weak ground can lead to a large hole and possible injury.Always wear eye protection during this step.

The steps to repair the bathroom floor are:

  • Remove the old layer of bricks
  • – Some bricks may need to be broken with a chisel. With regular blows, crush the broken brick. If you have linoleum, you can cut and remove pieces of fabric instead of hammering and chiseling. Be careful not to drill or drill holes in the wood underneath.
  • Solve all problems with the ground
  • – Water and wood do not mix. No matter how strong the adhesive on the toilet sink, there can still be water damage to the floor around the base and holes. A weak foundation is not a good thing and can reduce the value of your home if not repaired properly.
  • Replace the floor with new tiles
  • – Now is the time to lay the new tiles to replace the old ones. It’s not a bad time to replace the entire floor, as removing a tile can cause problems. Cutting and measuring tiles can be a time-consuming and frustrating job. Be sure to buy enough bricks for the flaws.

Conclusion

Getting rid of the bidet in your home is divided into three steps. Each step removes part of the waste system or prepares the bathroom for what’s to come. Repairing the floor and walls around where the bidet was located should be a priority if no repairs are needed to the sewer joints.

Tiles and coated floors can suffer water damage or serious problems can be discovered throughout the floor. Before proceeding, correct these faults as they could cause serious injury or breakdowns in the home. Choose tiles that are easy to lay and durable in the humid elements of the bathroom.

Our house has had the same low quality contractor grade toilets in it since it was built seven years ago, and enough is enough. Its time for a new high efficiency oval bowl toilet, and a smart toilet seat with an integrated bidet.

Will all the hype that has been associated with the pandemic, including toilet paper hoarding etc., a bidet was a smart choice for us, and it was a great excuse to upgrade the toilet as well! But first things first. I needed to remove the old round bowl toilet, install a new electrical receptacle for the bidet, and Mom It Yourself wanted to paint and accent wall behind the toilet before I installed the new one.

I install a new Niagara Stealth 2-Piece 0.8 GPF Ultra-High-Efficiency Single Flush Elongated Toilet in White (homedepot.sjv.io/9WLRn0) from the Home Depot for $129.00 and the UFFU Smart Bidet Toilet Seat with Adjustable Heated Seat and Water with Air Dryer, Advanced H/C Massage, Nightlight, Remote Control (

Total removal and installation time was about 2 hours from the toilet and seat. There was some waiting time for paint, and I had to install a new electrical receptacle with GFCI to power the seat.

The toilet is amazing, a power assisted push button flush, ergonomic height, and economy water usage! The seat is the real start here, adjustable water temperatures, a heated air dryer, heated seat with a massage function, night light, and soft close seat and lid. The remote control lets you chose a variety of setting, cleaning options, and temperatures to suit your needs.

Check out the video, I hope it encourages you to renovate your kitchen or take on a home repair project!
